There’s a couple of seemingly irrefutable and heretofore unrefuted facts in the Kavanaugh/Dr. Blasey issue that seem incredibly problematic for Kavanaugh’s supporters. (NOTE: Dr. Christine Blasey Ford goes by Dr. Blasey, so I will also do so going forward.)
Before continuing I should say that I’m hardly a neutral arbiter of this case. While I see Senator Feinstein holding on to this information (i.e.: Dr. Blasey’s letter concerning Brett Kavanaugh’s sexual-assault of Dr. Blasey when she was 15 years old) as long as she did also problematic I can certainly also see protecting Dr. Blasey’s privacy to have been paramount. It’s been less than a week since her name has come out and Dr. Blasey is already experiencing serious repercussions from coming forward (i.e.: she’s had to move out of her residence with her kids and is taking a beating on social media – more on that later) and believe me, unfortunately it’s only going to get worse. Again, as I’ve said, I’m not neutral, I believe Dr. Blasey categorically – as in, every word she’s said about the issue and I appreciate all previous attempts to protect Dr. Blasey’s identity however futile.
My faith in Dr. Blasey’s account is anything but baseless, unreasonably unfounded or without very strong evidence. The first piece of very strong evidence is the most recent: Dr. Blasey’s demand for a thorough and complete FBI investigation into her allegations before she testifies in the Senate.
What exactly is so strong about that? Well, if it isn’t obvious to you let me give you a little piece of advice, and I’m certainly no criminal genius but if you’re ever planing to commit a felony – in this case, supposedly lying to the Senate under oath – you probably don’t want to ask the FBI to investigate before hand the facts of what you plan to commit your felony about.
Frankly, I can only surmise from this that Dr. Blasey either is planning on telling the truth or she’s planning on spending a few years in a federal prison, and moreover, if she’s planning on lying, she’s actually making the prison part happen on purpose by demanding the FBI investigate before she commits the crime, which makes absolutely no sense.
This fact alone is enough for me to be entirely on Dr. Blasey’s side. Everyone with a brain in their head, regardless of politics, should be entirely on Dr. Blasey’s side at this point. The only counter argument is that Dr. Blasey’s completely, clinically insane, has ben for 30+ years, and I’m not buying that, nor should anyone else.
That really is more than enough to establish Dr. Blasey’s bonafides but before closing let’s look at some additional “problematic” facts that are apparently also not in dispute: 1.) In 2012 Dr. Blasey described Kavanaugh’s sexual-assault on her to her family therapist. She didn’t say the name of her attacker at that time, but there is a record of this account 6 years before Kavanaugh was nominated to the Supreme Court. If the sexual-assault had never happened how likely is it that Dr. Blasey planned to pin this on Kavanaugh during his confirmation 6 years in advance on the off chance that he’d be nominated to the Supreme Court some day? Not bloody likely.
2.) Dr. Blasey’s schoolmates remember the incident being talked about contemporaneously (i.e.: it was all over the school at the time!

But again, if it had never happened how likely is it that Dr. Blasey started a rumor when she was 15 years old on the off chance that she could use it to derail a Supreme Court Nominee’s confirmation 30+ years in the future? Not bloody likely.
3.) According to the writings of the only other witness to the sexual-assault, Mark Judge (ironic name, no?), there was a lot of drunken debauchery at his and Kavanaugh’s boy’s school, Georgetown Prep. (i.e.:
https://www.independent.co.uk...). Additionally, Kavanaugh himself said in a speech a couple of years ago that the motto of Georgetown was, “What happens at Georgetown Prep. stays at Georgetown Prep.” (i.e.:
https://www.youtube.com...). Is any of that definitive proof of anything? No, not at all. Is it evidence to go along with all the rest? You betcha.
In closing I’d like point out that Dr. Blasey’s currently getting repeatedly attacked and defamed in social media. The vast majority of it is provably untrue (i.e.:
https://www.nytimes.com...). It’s one thing to disagree, it’s another to lie and make sh-t up. Stop it. You’re not a man, you’re not a woman – you’re a wimp.
